If you sat down with me and had a serious conversation about why I believed American culture and our way of life — including our liberties — seem to be headed swirly down the toilet, there’s a lot I could say in response, as it has taken a whole lot of moral compromise and a society wide abandonment of the Word of God as the final authority on which our lives and principles of government is based upon to get here.

However, without a shadow of a doubt, I believe the reason we are experiencing so much judgment as a nation is due to the fact that we, like the ancient Israelites of the Old Testament, have thrown our lot in with the pagan gods our current culture worship — promiscuous sex with no consequences and the idol of convenience — and are offering up our children as sacrifices to please these false deities in the form of abortion on demand.

If one is a careful student of Scripture, you’ll see clearly that God loves children and hates abortion of any kind, truths reflected deeply in the laws He has recorded in the Bible. Abortion and human sacrifice are forbidden acts of idolatry so serious, they demand the death penalty. In fact, it’s why God wiped out the Caananites.

Every child, from the moment they are conceived, is a human being made in the image of God, given an eternal soul that resembles their creator. This means every human being has intrinsic value and worth, regardless of outer appearance. All are equal as image bearers.

When a woman has an abortion, she and the doctors and nurses involved in the procedure are violating the law of God — the sixth commandment — along with the law of the land against murder. It is a wicked, vile, deplorable, and utterly disgusting crime that needs to be outlawed immediately, regardless of what any reproductive rights nut thinks about it.

The fact this crime — which should be punishable by the death penalty for those who engage in it — is so egregious and horrific only makes what “Goonies” actress Martha Plimpton said about her first child murder — oh, I’m sorry “abortion” — in a recent video clip all the more disturbing.

From The Daily Wire:

You might remember her as Corey Feldman’s secret crush in The Goonies, but now you’ll remember her as the actress who boasted that her first abortion was her “best one.”

The third time must no longer be a charm.

Back in June, during a #ShoutYourAbortion event in Seattle, actress Martha Plimpton (The Goonies, The Real O’Neals) interviewed former Planned Parenthood medical director Willie Parker – a black abortionist who calls himself a Christian and even referred to his line of work as “Godly” – about his recently released memoir.

Speaking before a sychophantic audience, Plimpton somehow shifted the conversation to speaking about not just her one, but several, abortions.

“Seattle has some particular significance for me for lots of reasons,” she started. “I’ve got a lot of family here, some of whom are here in the audience tonight. I also had my first abortion here at the Seattle Planned Parenthood.”

The crowd applauded this revelation before she went on to explain more.

“Notice I said ‘first.’ I said ‘first.’ And I don’t want Seattle – I don’t want you guys to feel insecure, it was my best one,” she joked.

“Heads and tails above the rest,” she continued on her abortion. “If I could Yelp review it, I totally would. And if that doctor’s here tonight, I don’t remember you at all, I was 19. I was 19, but I thank you nonetheless.”

Cracking jokes and making light of the murder of a child, and what’s worse, the audience gleefully laps up her depraved and debauched sense of humor.

Our Founding Fathers made it crystal clear in their many writings — plenty of first hand sources of these diatribes exist if you dare to look into legitimate history and not the crap revisionism you were taught in school — that freedom and liberty are only designed for a moral people.

And what standard did they use to decide what was moral and what was not? The Holy Bible, God’s Law. That’s the standard they used.

The more a people falls away from living holy, righteous lives within their own families and communities, the more they need the government to step in and do it for them, and with that always comes oppression and tyranny.

I believe that videos such as this, with celebrities who have large platforms like this to spread such awful rhetoric, are indications that we are no longer a moral people, and as such, we are witnessing our freedom and liberty slowly slip through our fingers. And it’s all our fault.

How can a nation claim to be about freedom if we deny the most defenseless of our citizens the most basic right of all: the right to life?

How can we, with a straight face, claim to be all about racial equality and creating a post-racial society when Planned Parenthood is killing millions of black babies every year, a number that is disproportionate among whites?

People like Martha Plimpton are the problem, and the gospel of Christ being preached faithfully in the community, and specifically outside abortion clinics is the solution.

I’m not advocating for folks to be violent, loud, or rude, but to do their best, using the gospel, to dissuade individuals from murdering their children. We have to be willing to take the ridicule, the hatred, if we want to see lives saved for the glory of God.

Let’s hope Plimpton, by the grace of God, comes to see what she’s done, and repents before it’s too late.
