We all know that public schools are nothing more than cess pools where progressives indoctrinate children with all sorts of liberal ideology, hoping beyond hope to successfully turn future generations into robots who worship the state, and boy are they ever doing a good job.

What’s terrible is that kids can’t just go to class, make friends, learn the basics they need to know — the stuff most of us were taught before the world went bat guano insane — and just grow up like normal people. No, everything these days has to be politicized.

Apparently that includes lessons children are taught in school, including their tests, as a group of parents from Jackson Hole High School recently discovered after students told them about a test they took where “shooting at Trump” was a multiple choice answer.

Putting something like that on anything, when the individual is an active sitting president, is asking for an FBI investigation.

Parents are upset about politics’ pervasiveness in the classroom.

One of the answers a Jackson Hole High School English teacher gave her students on a multiple choice quiz Thursday was “A) He was shooting at Trump.”

Teton County School District No. 1 confirmed the answer was on a quiz administered online by their secure learning management system. The quiz has since been taken down.

Jim McCollum was surprised when his son Rylee McCollum, a junior, came home and showed him a screenshot of the online test.

“I had to read it two times,” McCollum said. “I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?'”

McCollum, a self-described conservative who voted for President Donald Trump, said that while he “cringes at some of the things he says,” the question was completely out of line.

“It’s about respect for the office more than anything,” he said. “That’s enough of this. No way.”

The test, McCollum said, was on George Orwell’s novel “Animal Farm.” The full question was, “Napoleon has the gun fired for a new occasion. What is the new occasion?”

Possible answers were, “He was shooting at Trump,” “his birthday,” “for completion of the windmill” and “to scare off the attackers of Animal Farm.”

In a statement this morning, the district said, “TCSD #1 administration learned late yesterday that a quiz was administered to a class of high school students that contained an inappropriate answer to a multiple choice question. Administration is investigating this incident and verifying the information we have received.

“TCSD #1 takes seriously threats of any kind, regardless of the intent. We apologize to the students, families and community for this incident and will be addressing the issue with personnel.”

Not everything has to be politicized, to have some issue that’s being discussed in the country brought into the discussion. The teacher could’ve just focused on the book and left everything else out of it.

The fact this was an answer is grounds for termination at the least and possibly more if necessary. Look, you don’t have to be a fan of President Trump to agree this is messed up. It would be super messed up if it were about any president, Obama included.

No matter how much you disagree with the president or any elected official, making light of an assassination attempt is morally wrong.

This is just one more reason to consider homeschooling.
