With the horrific Las Vegas shooting still fresh on our minds and the left desperately attempting to find justification for creating restrictive gun control measures that violate the Second Amendment, it’s good to hear stories about good guys with guns stopping bad guys with guns.
Heaven knows the mainstream media won’t report on such stories as it violates their narrative and that just wouldn’t sit well with the politicians who have these networks and organizations in their pockets.
Just such a scenario recently unfolded outside of a Detroit market Sunday evening, as a baddie pulled a gun and attempted to rob two men, not knowing one of them was a concealed carry holder.
When police said a would-be robber pulled a gun on two men outside a Detroit market Sunday night, little did he know one of his victims is a concealed pistol license holder — who quickly pulled a gun of his own and shot the assailant multiple times.
And it was all caught on surveillance video, the station said.
Video shows a hooded man — identified as Sanchez Quinn, 29, police told WJBK-TV — pulling a gun on two pedestrians outside the Super X Market.
The victim with the concealed carry license, seen wearing a black and white T-shirt and shorts, told the station his first thought was to grab his gun.
“I turned and looked and saw the other gentleman had a gun pointed at my face,” the man told WJBK by phone. “I was able to knock his hand down and the gunfire rang out.”
The other victim — the concealed carrier’s cousin — was shot four times in the crossfire but is expected to recover, the station said.
“It makes me mad because … you have people out here, they work every day, they’re innocent and you want to take from them,” the victim, with the concealed carry license, told WJBK. “These guys … I feel that they definitely don’t need to be back out on the street because someone else can end up getting hurt, and the situation might be a totally different way.”
It’s terrible the man’s cousin was shot, but there’s no guarantee the robbers wouldn’t have just killed them both anyway, so at least they were able to defend themselves.
What’s sad is that this is the kind of world we inhabit, where you can work hard and earn all of the things you have, only to have them taken away by some loser who doesn’t want to get a job and work for what he has, opting to take what someone else has sweat and bled for.
This is why the Second Amendment exists. To protect us from tyranny, which comes in more than one form. It’s not strictly something the government owns the corner market on. Individuals can be tyrannical too, especially when they falsely believe they are entitled to have your stuff and are willing to force you to part with it using violence.
We have the right to bear arms, the right to defend life and property, to enable us to keep what we earn from falling into the hands of lowlifes like the bad guys in this situation.
If only the left understood that this is just simply how the world works and that until evil is removed from the earth — when Jesus returns — there’s always going to be threats to safety and property, which means we need to have the tools to defend ourselves.
