In a move that will surprise absolutely no one, former presidential candidate and absolute moral train wreck, Hillary Clinton, wasted no time getting her face in the lime light after the tragic and horrifying shooting that took place Sunday night in Las Vegas.

A 65-year-old man opened fire from the balcony of a room at the Mandalay Bay hotel, killing 50 and injuring hundreds at a concert being held down below on the strip.

Clinton immediately launched into a full assault against the National Rifle Association, laying the blame, as always, on gun rights activists who, heaven forbid, believe that every American has the God-given right to defend themselves from terrorists and criminals, as is clearly stated in the Second Amendment.

It seems the former first lady just cannot stand the idea of bowing out of public life and has no qualms about using tragedies like this one to help ensure she stays at the forefront of everyone’s mind.

Hillary Clinton said Monday that members of Congress need to take action on passing gun control legislation, and urged lawmakers to oppose a bill that would make it easier to purchase gun suppressors in the wake of Sunday night’s shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas.

“Las Vegas, we are grieving with you—the victims, those who lost loved ones, the responders, & all affected by this cold-blooded massacre. The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots. Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get,” Clinton said in a series of tweets Monday morning. “Our grief isn’t enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.”

Police said Paddock fired down at the crowd from a hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. He is believed to have committed suicide before law enforcement broke into the room.

Clinton joined several other Democrats in Congress calling for action on gun control, including Sens. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.

The National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action backed a bill, called the Hearing Protection Act, earlier this year that would make it easier to purchase gun suppressors.

It’s not the NRA’s fault that some crazy old man decided to go on a murder spree. Criminals, those bent on destroying innocent life, typically don’t follow the rules and laws of the land to begin with. Hence why they are criminals.

Even if guns were banned, there’s enough of a black market in existence for this guy to have gotten his hands on a weapon that would’ve caused just as much damage, if he was really dedicated to carrying out his plan.

Not to mention there’s talk from ISIS that this man converted to Islam and carried out this assault on their behalf. If this proves to be true, why are there no calls from the left to go blast ISIS off the face of the earth?

Oh, that’s right. Such a move would mean they would have to stop kissing rear in the Muslim community and let that all important and ever growing demographic of voters go sliding between their fingers.

Can’t have that, can we?

The bottom line is, each individual human being who commits a crime is responsible for their own actions. You cannot lay the blame for this attack on a group of people trying to protect their liberty. It needs to be on the shoulders of the psychopath who actually carried out the attack and, if he was working for terrorists, the individuals who radicalized him are also responsible.

Let’s hope people don’t get wrapped up in the politics here and instead focus on helping to heal the hurting.
