Where has our country come? Yes, this is as crazy as it sounds.
According to Todd Starnes and TownHall.com, the Delaware State Department of Education is “seriously considering” regulations that would allow children to decide their own race and gender.
So for the record, a Hispanic female could then identify as a white male, and the parents would have no say in such. The school would not have to give any notification to the parents if the children decide to ‘switch’ genders, races, or both.
The regulation states “All students enrolled in a Delaware public school may self-identify gender or race,” and has been heavily criticized by conservatives and liberals alike in Delaware. Liberals too, you may ask? Liberals are always quick to speak and maybe even quick to act, but when you hold them to their actions, they go silent.
When parents send their children to school, they expect that their kids will be protected. Hence the outrage in North Carolina over House Bill 2. But that’s no matter to the state of Delaware, because parents have absolutely no say as to the biological sex of their child.
In fact, the new regulation will make parents who affirm the biological sex of their child “abusive.” And forces parents to embrace the child’s chosen gender.
Once again, yes. This is just as crazy as it sounds.
Though liberals like to preach allowing gender-identity to prevail over natural-given gender, they are not happy when they realize that their 13-year-old daughter may run into an 18-year-old man in the bathroom because he “self-identifies” as a girl.
It doesn’t stop there, what about the high school male track athlete who suddenly decides that he’s a female? Does he get to go into the race against females? Or even better, how about a contact sport like women’s soccer or basketball. Now we’re getting physical, and the state of Delaware is willing to let that man on the field/court in the name of political correctness.
Newsflash: political correctness is an idea that has been shot down by the American people. 306-224.
If you are unhappy with this being considered by the state of Delaware and want to make sure that this NEVER comes to your state, be sure to send the Delaware Department of Education some responses.
