One of our nation’s greatest traditions that is enjoyed by millions of people during the summer and early fall months is that of baseball, the original American pastime.
The World Series, featuring the Dodgers vs. the Astros, is proving to be a memorable one, but one moment that’s definitely going to go down in history from this year’s big league championship, is the one shared by Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush during the first pitch.
Simply put, this is awesome.
Former President George W. Bush continued his streak of tossing perfect pitches in the World Series before Sunday’s Game 5 in Houston.

It’s the second time the younger Bush has tossed the first pitch before a World Series game.
Bush threw out the first pitch at the 2001 World Series, just a few weeks after the horrific attack on the World Trade Center, which has gone down in history as one of the most famous and moving first pitches in the history of the game.
A lot of people insulted Bush for his many gaffes behind the podium, but the truth of the matter is, he was a great man who loved his country and did the best he could with a horrible situation.
He was a man of honor, integrity, and class. You can disagree with his policies, but at the end of the day, he was a decent leader.
How great is it to get a break from the insanity going on in our country right now and just enjoy a little baseball fun? It truly does the soul some good.
